Actors Harshad Chopda and Pranali Rathod made a mark for themselves in the Hindi television industry with their on-screen chemistry and off-screen friendship. The story of Abhimanyu Birla and Akshara Goenka was loved by the audiences, so much so that the fans would often take to social media to trend their ship name AbhiRa. Well, it seems like the upcoming generational leap of the show has left the fans disappointed as they might not get to see their favourite couple reunite.

The outrage of fans on the internet started after the fourth generation of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was unofficially announced by the makers. The viewers have been condemning the makers for ruining their AbhiRa’s love story as well as Akshara and Abhimanyu’s characters. If the recent promo is to be believed, Abhimanyu and Abhir will pass away in a car accident before his marriage to Akshara, leaving their story to be incomplete. As per the ongoing plot, Abhimanyu decides to marry Akshara despite her carrying Abhinav’s baby. While the Goenka’s are happy with their reunion, Manjiri has been against the marriage as she believes that Akshara will not be able to love her son, if she is always reminded of Abhinav because of the baby. She even goes as far as to bribe Akshara with money, so that she can leave Abhimanyu alone. Well it was earlier reported that Abhir and Abhimanyu's death will bring a new twist in Akshara's life as she will single-handedly raise her and Abhinav’s daughter Naira. The story will then take a leap with Naira and Ruhi becoming the female leads of the show. Talking about the new cast, the makers of the show recently released a photo of the entire crew and the new cast from the show. If reports are to be believed, Akshara’s character will be retained in the show as Preeti Amin will replace Pranali. While Saavi Ki Savaari fame Samridhii Shukla will play the female lead, Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka’s Shehzada Dhami will play the male lead. Actors like Shruti Ulfat, Shivan Khajuria Shruti Rawat are also joining the cast. It is also being reported that the new season of the show will only feature the Goenka family and not the Birlas. It will be interesting to see how the plot progresses further and how the makers introduce the new generation after the leap.
